meet the tsugami

Nova Atlas proudly announces the purchase of a Tsugami FMA3.  This precision horizontal machining cell combines robotics technology with high rigidity to produce small to medium sized product at incredible speeds.  FANUC controlled, with 11 pallets, 9 second pallet load/unload time, 62 tools with a 1.2 second automatic tool change rate, Nova Atlas will be able to far exceed previous production capability.  The Tsugami is equipped with a 10 HP Hollow Core AC motor incorporating the absolute latest in drive technology. A wide range of spindle speeds - from 40 RPM to 10,000 RPM - is directly programmable in 1 RPM increments. The headstock/drive design provides constant torque across a wide range of spindle speeds.  This latest technology will improve process efficiency and precision, giving our customers the product accuracy and timeliness they have come to expect from Nova Atlas.  For additional information on this device, please play the video at left.
